Who funded the project

 

Karabena Consulting was engaged to facilitate consultations with various stakeholders in the Victorian Aboriginal community housing sector to inform the development of a 20-Year Vision.

To complete this project, we undertook a range of consultations including an online survey, telephone interviews and workshops. We provided the outcomes to AHV prior to developing the final 20-Year Vision with their guidance.

To facilitate consultations with relevant stakeholders in the Victorian Aboriginal community housing sector to inform the development of a 20-Year Vision.

Project Aims

 

To complete this project, Karabena Consulting:

  • Established a Project Steering Committee to guide and advise our work

  • Conducted one online survey and two semi-structured telephone interviews with Aboriginal Housing and Homelessness Forum (AHHF) members

  • Conducted four semi-structed telephone interviews with funders/policymakers

  • Conducted a range of workshops including:

    • six workshops with the Aboriginal Housing and Homelessness Forum

    • one workshop with Victorian Traditional Owners

    • one workshop with AHV.

Methodologies

 

The key outputs for this project were:

  • A discussion paper comprising of consultation outcomes

  • The 20-Year Vision.

Outputs

 

The 20-Year Vision will guide the Victorian Aboriginal community housing sector to become members of a unified and vibrant sector capable of delivering quality services and achieving housing equity within a generation.
