“On behalf of the Beyond Blue team, I wanted to say a massive thank you to Kerry for her brilliant chairing ‘Beyond Blue’s The Way Back Support Service Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Evaluation Advisory Group’ on April 20, 2021. There was a lot of content to cover and Kerry managed to keep us on track, and all done in such an inclusive and warm way with members. The feedback received was incredibly useful for us.”
Karabena Consulting is a 100% Indigenous-owned consulting firm that offers end-to-end services for a wide range of national and international clients. Our Managing Director is Professor Kerry Arabena, a Torres Strait Islander and master facilitator with a well-established reputation as a thought leader, qualitative researcher, evaluator, writer, public speaker, teacher, director and environmental scientific commissioner.
Professor Arabena has grown a multidisciplinary team, skilled in the provision of project implementation services including co-design strategies, events and research administration, milestone management, research, writing, digital marketing, online course development, editing, graphic design and publishing. These offerings are activated at various points across the delivery of Karabena Consulting services.
Karabena Consulting methodologies are evidence-based (NHMRC funded and six years worth of work through UoM), include offering second chances to people who are underemployed or unemployable (Australian Peer Researcher Association), promote coaching not case management (Australian Indigenous Coaching Institute), and are consultant inclusive – for National Projects we contract Indigenous consultants who are active across all States and Territories.
Karabena Consulting is part of the Karabena Group, a 100% Indigenous-owned and operated research-based consulting, training, publishing and coaching business. We draw upon empirical findings generated from our consulting firm to support partners to assess and improve their ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in different contexts. Our consulting and publishing packages provide innovative knowledge exchange, coaching and training solutions that improve relationships, performance and capacity. Karabena Group strategies are based on rigorous academic research methods, Indigenous science and ICF accredited coaching programs. For our other services, please see www.karabena.com.
